When is VAT payable?

VAT is payable in the following scenarios at the time of registration:

• When Registering a New Vehicle
• When Registering a Vehicle imported from outside the fiscal territory of the EU.

How is a New Vehicle defined?

A new Vehicle is defined as a vehicle which meets one or both of the following criteria

• less than 6 months old
• traveled less that 6,000 kilometers
